Full Description
A possible timber yard or timber store marked on Hutchins' plan of Poole of 1774. A series of piles of timbers are shown in a property on the west side of West Street and marked 'Timber'. This probably marks a timber store rather than a formal timber yard. (1)
A 'Deal Yard' is marked in almost the same position on the 1751 Sir Peter Thompson map and may be the same feature. A small inlet is shown running up to its west end. (2)
