Summary

The remains of a former driveway to Hamworthy Rectory was discovered during an archaeological evaluation of the area adjacent to Hamworthy Rectory. It was formed from gravel over a broken brick base.

Full Description

The former driveway to Hamworthy Rectory was discovered in Trench 2 of an evaluation by Terrain Archaeology adjacent to Hamworthy Rectory. The driveway consisted of a layer of broken brick in a clay matrix with a layer of gravel on top. It was probably abandoned in the 1940s.
