Summary

Church of St Michael, Hamworthy was built in 1825 on the site of a medieval chapel. It was consecrated in 1826.The church was built in a plain gothic style. It was demolished in 1964, but the outline of the building is still visible in the churchyard.

Full Description

The former parish church of St Michael was built on the site of a medieval chapel. The church was built in 1825 and consecrated in 1826. The church was designed in a plain gothic style, of stone rubble construction with brick dressings rendered in stucco.

The church was demolished in 1964 and replaced by the present church.
