Full Description
Kingscourt Brickworks are recorded on the 1841 Tithe map and Apportionment as a Brickyard and Garden occupied by George Thick and Silverthorne. Eliza Silverthorne is recorded as a brickmaker in Pigot's 1842 Trade Directory. Eliza Silverthorne is recorded as a brickmaker until 1867. (1)
Further documentary evidence shows the brickworks in operation in 1824/5. (2)
