Listed Building record MDO27761 - Metford Mill, Holway Lane, Cattistock

A farmhouse built in the late seventeenth century, with a later bakehouse at right-angles. Rubble-stone and chalk block walls with thatched roof with gable ends and a brick stack.

‘The following monuments, unless otherwise described, are of the 17th century and of two storeys; the walls are of rubble and the roofs are thatched or covered with modern materials. Some of the buildings have exposed ceiling-beams and original fireplaces. … (8) Metford Mill, ¾ m. N.W. of the church, retains an original fireplace with a four-centred head.’
