<1> Royal Commission on Historic Monuments, 1970, An Inventory of Historical Monuments in the County of Dorset, Volume III (Central) Part 2, 159 (Monograph). SDO136.

‘Unless otherwise described the following monuments are two-storied and have walls of roughly coursed rubble, and tiled roofs; they are of the 18th century. … (57) Cottages, two adjacent (78951911), are of two periods; the older is of the 18th century, the other is dated 1833. In the former the newel stairs are built beside the chimney-breast and the first floor rests on a chamfered beam. The 19th-century cottage has a slated roof.’
