‘Unless otherwise described the following monuments are two-storied and have walls of roughly coursed rubble, and tiled roofs; they are of the 18th century. … (48) The Post Office (77541933), on the N. side of Burton Street, is of three storeys with a slated roof; the third storey was probably added in the 19th century. The S. front is symmetrical and of two bays with a central doorway. Above the doorway is a square stone sundial with an iron gnomon.’
