Full Description
Chalk pits shown on the Ordnance Survey map of 1885 (1). Additional chalk pits are visible as earthworks on aerial photographs, distributed across the area of Farm Hill Bottom and Hogg Cliff Bottom (2, 3). The features were all digitally plotted during the Dorset Upper Frome AIM project. Some of the features are still vivible as earthworks and cropmarks on current Google Earth imagery.
