Full Description

Cole’s Lane Farm consisted of a two storey farmhouse dated 1822 with attached outbuildings to the west and east. The farmhouse and outbuildings to the west were demolished in the late 20th century, and replaced with a workshop. Former attached outbuilding to the east and two detached buildings to the south, are probably 18th century with 19th and 20th century alterations. The two detached buildings used for storage by 2013, were formerly a bull pen, and a cowhouse and dairy. These buildings are built of sandstone and brick with galvanised metal corrugated sheeting on the roofs, and slate upon the former dairy roof. Next to these detached buildings is a late 18th century timber framed granary covered by weatherboard and galvanised metal corrugated sheeting on the roofs. The buildings were assessed for listing in 2013. The farmhouse and attached outbuildings were delisted (formerly listed Grade II NHLE number 111320, Legacy number 102919). The Bullpen, cowhouse and dairy failed to meet the required criteria and were not listed. The granary was listed Grade II (NHLE number 1416910). <3>
