Summary
An Old Chalk Pit shown on the Ordnance Survey map of 1885. A much larger feature than that shown on the OS 1st Edition map is visible as an earthwork on current Environment Agency lidar imagery, suggesting the feature was extended from the late 19th century onwards. The feature was digitally plotted during the Dorset Middle Stour AIM project.

Full Description
An Old Chalk Pit shown on the Ordnance Survey map of 1885. A much larger feature than that shown on the OS 1st Edition map is visible as an earthwork on current Environment Agency lidar imagery, suggesting the feature was extended from the late 19th century onwards [2]. The feature was digitally plotted during the Dorset Middle Stour AIM project.
