Full Description
Chalk Pit shown on the Ordnance Survey map of 1885. Associated with adjacent lime kilns. The feature is visible as earthworks on aerial photogrpahs and Environment Agency lidar imagery [3, 4]. An aerial photograph of 1946 show the chalk pit cut through by a 20th century military tramway MDO4207 [3]. It was digitally plotted during the Dorset Middle Stour AIM Project.
