Summary

A house built in the late 18th century, possibly as two cottages. The left bay probably of a slightly later build. The walls of the building are rendered and colourwashed. Thatched roof with brick stacks to ends and to end of original range.

‘Unless otherwise described the following are two-storied dwelling-houses of 18th-century origin. … (7) Cottages (89940417), two adjacent, have cob walls and thatched roofs. The cottage to the N.W. has a symmetrical N.E. front of three bays, with a central doorway and sashed windows on the ground floor, and casement windows above; that to the S.E. is of one bay, with a doorway to one side of the ground-floor window.’
