A Clay Pit shown on the Ordnance Survey map of 1885, associated with Briantspuddle brick Works. (1)

The clay pit described above in (1) is visible as an earthwork on lidar imagery. A second pit is located immediately to the east (see MDO27123). The pit measures approximately 70 m by 50 m. (2) This feature was digitally plotted during the Wild Purbeck Mapping Project.
