Listed Building record MDO27055 - No 6, High Street, Sydling St Nicholas

Detached Cottage, Mid Cl7, undergoing 1985 internal alterations and repair. Close-fitting knapped flint and chalk-block walls. Thatch roof, with gable ends at left hand and right hand.

‘The following monuments, unless otherwise described, are of the 17th century and of two storeys; the walls are of rubble and the roofs are thatched or covered with modern materials. Some of the buildings have exposed ceiling-beams and original fireplaces. … (11) Cottage, on the E. side of the road and stream 110 yards E. of (10), is partly faced with bands of flint and ashlar.’
