Full Description

Detached house in garden, c.1840. Stone walls stuccoed and painted. Slate roof with stone gable copings, rendered and painted stacks at gable ends. Parallel ridges, rectangular plan. Two storeys. 3 windows, with two large rounded bays each side of the front door. Sashes to bay windows, of 2 : 3 : 2 lights with thin glazing-bars, fluted and reeded pilasters between. Sashes have curved frames to match curvature of wall. Sash window over entrance. Front door 6 fielded panels, C20. Rectangular fan light over and bracketed canopy, C20. Western extension of house, with hipped slate roof. Sash with thin glazing-bars on end wall, C19. Interior: central hall. Staircase has Roman Doric newel, plain stick balusters and plain handrails, C19. Reeded cornices in hall and landing.
