SY 43 91. A beacon is listed by H T White at Thorncombe Beacon. <1-2>

Marked on first edition OS map.<2>

A pollen and soil assessment on Thorncombe Beacon suggested that the mound is of Romano-British date or more probably Medieval to Tudor and may be a beacon mound as its name suggests. <3>
