Full Description

At the mansion-house of the Hardys in Up Sydling was a chapel of ease, ruinated perhaps soon after the Reformation. The walls were standing about 1715 but have since been entirely demolished. <1>

No information was obtained at Upper Sydling Farm. The site of this apparently pre-Reformation chapel is now part of the
farmhouse garden. No masonry is visible. <2>

No change to report of 13.5.55. <4>
