Earthwork remains of an Iron Age or Romano-British field system. The earthworks survive to a maximum height of 1.6 metres.

Full Description

Centred SY 630977. Pronounced remains of lynchets and low field banks of Iron Age/Romano British 'Celtic' type situated in pasture and arable land. <2>

Mainly destroyed although some smoothed and spread lynchets survive on the steeper slopes to a height of 1.6m. <3>

'(35) Celtic Field-Systems have left remains in various places in the N. and W. half of the parish, particularly on East Hill, Row Hill, Wardon Hill, Combe Hill, Break Heart Hill, Peak End Hill, Ayles's Hill and South Field Hill.'
