An orchard shown on the Ordnance Survey map of 1886. Cultivation ridges within the field are visible as earthworks on 1940s aerial photographs, and partly surviving on current Environment Agency lidar imagery. The features were digitally plotted during the Mid Dorset Downs AIM project.

Several orchard trees are also still visible within the field on 1940s aerial photographs (RAF 1947).
