Chalk Pit shown on the Ordnance Survey map of 1886 (OS 1888).
The feature is visible as a ditched earthwork on current Environment Agency lidar imagery, up to 39m wide and 17m deep, and was digitally plotted during the Mid Dorset Downs AIM project (EA 2018).
