Summary

Earthen mound or motte upon which St Catherine's Chapel is situated. It appears to have a smaller subsiduary motte on it's southern side which may be of earlier origin. Site visible on aerial photographs.

Full Description

Rectilinear earthen mound or motte, 25m across, upon which St Catherine's Chapel is situated. It appears to have a smaller subsiduary motte on it's southern side which may be of earlier origin. The site is visible on aerial photographs {1-2} and was digitally plotted during the South Dorset Ridgeway Mapping Project.
