A WWII direction arrow is visible as an extant structure on aerial photographs on Chesil Beach to the south-east of Castle Beach Cottage. {1}. The feature is situated within the Abbotsbury Defence which was defended by the 6th Battalion Durham Light Infantry and was digitally plotted during the South Dorset Ridgeway Mapping Project.
