Full Description

A series of structures are visible as extant features on aerial photographs taken in 1940 and 1946 {1-2}. They are considered to be of military origin, dating to World War II. They include a small oval enclosure similar in shape and size to those described in MDO25921 which may be constructed of barbed wire or similar. These features are situated within the Abbotsbury Defence which was defended by the 6th Battalion Durham Light Infantry. They were digitally plotted during the South Dorset Ridgeway Mapping Project.
