Full Description

Linear features, possibly WWII slit trenching and other amorphous earthworks are visible on aerial photographs {1-2} on Chesters Hill. They are considered to date to WWII and are situated within the Abbotsbury Defence which was defended by the 6th Battalion Durham Light Infantry. The features were digitally plotted during the South Dorset Ridgeway Mapping Project.
