Full Description

A WWII military site comprising two large concentric enclosures, possibly formed by barbed wire fencing and showing as a dark line on aerial photographs taken in 1942 and 1948 {1-2}. Internal features may be the sites of buildings. The site lies to the north-west of Morkhams Lake landing stage and is associated with a number of other military structures described separately. The site was digitally plotted as part of the South Dorset Ridgeway Mapping Project.
