Square type 26 pillbox. [Shown on OS 1:2500 sheet SY 5684 - 5784 (1964)]. On slope of Chapel Hill [approach from Swannery car park]. <1-3>
A World War II type 26 pillbox located on the slopes of Chapel Hill visible an extant structure on aerial photographs taken in 1946 <4>. The site was digitally plotted during the South Dorset Ridgeway Mapping Project.
