Full Description

SY 63938917. Parallel Medieval strip lynchets under pasture are numerous but fairly weak. (1)

SY 639891. Strip lynchets, very disturbed, cover an area of about 16 acres. The best preserved strips run up and down a
7o slope but are cut by modern ploughing. Surviving treads vary from 9 yds to 37 yds in width. (2,3)

The strip lynchets, centred at SY 639892, cover an area of approximately 8.0 ha., and remain as described by R.C.H.M. (2),
none exceeds 1.0m. in height. Area outlined on 1:10560 Record Sheet. (4)
