Full Description

The published note describes this find as follows: 'Ten unworked greyish-brown chert flakes, and one of dark grey chert (?), picked up on the ramparts of the Iron Age camp on the Greensand at Pilsdon Pen (ST 4101) , were submitted to the Museum by Mrs. M. F. Pictor in May 1957. The greyish-brown flakes, which are mostly quite small (the largest being about 2 ins. long), suggest the manufacture of long narrow blades.' (1)
