Parallel field boundaries of medieval or post medieval origin are visible as earthworks on aerial photographs to the east of Ridge Farm, Chickerell. They may be the remains of a medieval strip field system {1-2}. The features were digitally plotted during the South Dorset Ridgeway Mapping Project.
