Full Description

An incomplete sub-circular enclosure (70m across) is visible on aerial photographs taken in 1942 {1}. It is considered to be of military orgin, possibly predating the WWII heavy anti aircraft battery described in MWX4686. The feature appears as a dark cropmark on the aerial photographs (2}. A larger irregular curvilinear enclosure lies to the south of the site (MWX4687). The features were digitally plotted during the South Dorset Ridgeway Mapping Project.
