Full Description

A group of pits are visible as earthworks on aerial photographs {1-2}. They are considered likely to be the sites of post medieval extractive pits. These features were digitally plotted during the South Dorset Ridgeway Mapping Project.

Possibly detected in the Winterbourne Abbas Corridor Geophysical Suvey in 2017 (EDO7852). However, the magetrometry returns were weak and not well resolved from field 216B & the report only suggests the detection of a single pit.
