Full Description
A partly polished flint axe-head has been found in the Brit Valley SW of Netherbury by I Wilmore of Patley Wood Farm (SY 4698). <1>
The note does not give a grid reference for this find. The grid reference attached to this record is, therefore, an approximate location.

'A Neolithic flint axe from Netherbury … Through the Curator, Mr. R. N. R. Peers, the discovery of a partly polished flint axe-head has been reported on Lower Jurassic beds in the Brit valley S.W. of Netherbury, by Mr. I. Willmore of Patley Wood Farm, Netherbury.'
