Full Description
A group of roughly 100 small pits and zigzag trenches are visible as earthworks on aerial photographs {1}. They are considered likely to be foxholes and fire trenches,, created for the purpose of training military personnel during the second world war. The site was digitally plotted for the South Dorset Ridgeway Mapping Project.
