Summary

A Bronze Age barrow located at the West end of Waterston Ridge. It is one of three barrows. In 1970 this monument was recorded as being around 58 feet in diameter with a mound about 4 feet high, and a ditch clearly visible on the eastern side.

Full Description

'B' - Flat topped bowl barrow, 18.0m diameter and 1.3m high. The ditch on the south and east quadrant is 5.0m wide and 0.4m deep. <2>

'B' - (17) - SY 70969441. Bowl barrow, 58ft diameter and 4ft high lies on the summit of a ridge on a south west slope. The ditch is most clearly marked on the east side. <4>

'B' SY 70969441: ploughed down bowl barrow, diameter 21.0m., height 1.0m. The ditch is no longer visible. Re-surveyed at 1:2500 on M.S.D. <5>

‘(17) Bowl (70979441), 340 yds. E. of (16), lies near the summit of a ridge, over 400 ft. above O.D. on a S.W. slope. The ditch is most clearly marked on the E. side. Diam. 58 ft., ht. 4 ft.’
