Full Description

(SY 625892) Traces of strip fields. <1>

Two prominent scarps, presumable old lynchets, centred at SY 62518928, form the boundaries of a narrow strip of waste ground on a steep south-facing slope. They are up to 3.0m. high; one is 250 metres long, the other 150 metres long. <2>

A group of probable trackways of probable post medieval date are visible as cropmarks and earthwork banks on aerial photographs <3-5> and LIDAR <6>. These features were digitally plotted during the South Dorset Ridgeway Mapping Project.
