Full Description

(SY 39959375) The Saint's Well (NR) <1>

The Saint's Well (name confirmed) consists of a flow of water exuding from the hillside through a modern pipe into a hollow in the ground presumably caused by cattle. Mrs Chedd said that according to local tradition the water has special healing powers for the eyes, but neither
she nor the vicar had any knowledge of the origin of the name. <2>
