Full Description

(DMV of Stanton St Gabriel sited to St Gabriel's Church, SY 402 924 from OS 10560 1968). Listed as a Deserted Medieval Village. <1>

The existing Chapel of St Gabriel stands 1350m NNE of the revised old chapel. The old village seems to be a typical example of population migration from a probable small fishing village to a more accessible position further inland. <2>
