Full Description

A group of pits are visible as earthworks on aerial photographs {1-3}. They are considered likely to be the sites of post medieval extractive pits. Two linear ditches are also visible as cropmarks and earthworks and are probably trackways related to this extractive activity. These features were digitally plotted during the South Dorset Ridgeway Mapping Project.
