Earthwork terraces known as strip lynchets. The remains of a medieval field system.

Full Description

Lynchets on a SE slope, 750 yards NW of the church, consist of three terraces extending for some 200 yards. <1>

Lynchets as described above, centred at ST 46930730. They are of medieval type, grass covered and pronounced. <2>

Pronounced contour lynchets visible on air photographs from ST 470220745 to ST 46720710. They may have originally extended to Lecher Bridge, ST 46650690. <3>

Strip lynchets immediately North of South Perrott Villag, at ST 471071. and on either side of the R> Parrett. East of the river is a flight of 4 small lynchets 100 yards long with 15 feet treads, while West of the river are 4 lynchets 270 yards long wiht 10 yard treads. (1)
