Full Description

A rectilinear ditched enclosure of uncertain origin is visible as cropmarks on aerial photographs to the north of Pixon Barn, Poxwell {1}. The enclosure is 81m by 51m in size and was digitally plotted during the South Dorset Ridgeway Mapping Project. It is possibly associated with a Romano-British settlement excavated by Wacher in 1968 {2}
