Full Description

Over thirty small post medieval chalk pits are visible as earthworks and cropmarks on the north facing dip slopes of White Horse Hill, to the west of Poxwell {1-6}. Several are marked on the OS 1st Edition Map. The features were digitally plotted during the South Dorset Ridgeway Mapping Project.
