Four post medieval chalk pits on Osmington Hill, visible as earthworks on aerial photographs {1}. Two are marked on the OS 1st edition map as disused, one being adjacent to a lime kiln. The features were digitally plotted during the South Dorset Ridgeway Mapping Project.
