Full Description

A number of wrecks partially buried on the sands below Osmington Bay Holiday Centre. Possibly deliberately placed to form a WWII anti-invasion beach defence. The features are visible on aerial photographs {1} and were digitally plotted during the South Dorset Ridgeway Mapping Project. Three wreck bombardons are visible on the shoreline in this vicinty on aerial photographsa taken in 1950 {2}
