Full Description

A line of hulks partially buried on the sands at Bowleaze Cove. Thirteen wrecks are visible on aerial photographs taken in 1947 {1}, all presumably deliberately placed to form part of a multiple line of WWII anti-invasion beach defences. The site was digitally plotted during the South Dorset Ridgeway Mapping Project.
