An extensive scatter of post medieval chalk pits are visible as earthworks and cropmarks on aerial photographs within the prehistoric field systems along the southern portion of Littlebredy Parish.

An extensive scatter of post medieval chalk pits are visible as earthworks and cropmarks within the prehistoric field systems situated along the southern portion of Littlebredy Parish. Several are marked on the OS 1st and 3rd edition OS maps. The features were digitally plotted from aerial photographs {1-7} during the South Dorset Ridgeway Mapping Project.
