Full Description

The possible ste of a large barrow, 35m across, is visible as cropmarks on aerial photographs on Pitcombe Down {1}. The barrow is partially overlain by a modern field boundary. It forms part of a wider sheduled barrow cemetery. The site was digitally plotted during the South Dorset Ridgeway Mapping Project.
