A scatter of extractive pits are visible as earthworks on aerial photographs {1} in the vicinity of the enclosure on Tennants Hill, (MDO1263). They are considered likely to be post medieval in origin and were digitally plotted during the South Dorset Ridgeway Mapping Project.
