Monument record MDO24059 - Lower Kingston Russell Farm, medieval or post medieval field system

Field system, trackway and ridge and furrow cultivation marks of medieval or later date, visible as earthworks and cropmarks on aerial photographs.

A fragmented field system and trackway of medieval or later date are visible as earthworks and cropmarks on aerial photographs to the south and west of Lower Kingston Russell Cottages {1-2}. Parallel features, probably the remains of medieval ridge and furrow cultivation are visible as very low earthworks on LiDAR imagery {3}. These features were digitally plotted during the South Dorset Ridgeway Mapping Project.
