Summary

A lime kiln was identified at Clatcombe Dairy from 18th century maps. It no longer existed by 1900-2 and a field visit by Peter Stanier during 1992 revealed no visible evidence for it. (Stanier number 226).

Peter Stanier conducted a survey of Dorset lime kilns during 1992. A lime kiln was identified at Clatcombe Dairy from 18th century maps (Stanier number 226). It no longer existed by 1900-2 and a field visit during 1992 revealed no visible evidence for it.[1]
