Full Description

Westford Farm, also known as Westford Farmhouse, is 16th century with 17th century extension. The walls are flint and rubble with a thatched roof of the collar-beam type with curved braces forming the wall posts. <1>

‘The following monuments, unless otherwise described, are of the 17th century and of two storeys; the walls are of rubble and the roofs are covered with thatch or modern materials. Some of the buildings have exposed ceiling-beams and original fireplaces. … (43) Westford Farm, house 820 yards N. of (42) and 2½ m. W.N.W. of the church, was built in the 16th century and has a 17th-century extension on the N.E. The roof is of collar-beam type with curved wall-posts continuing the principals.’
